Gentlemen,
As I said at the dinner I am honoured , proud and excited about my year in office.
Proud to represent my District, honoured to have been asked and excited about the year ahead.
I can't promise to do and say the right things all year but I WILL promise that this year will be FUN !!
I want to win EVERY district game and will be helping Nigel SELECT good teams of competitive bowlers who do not just want an afternoon roll up !!
I am looking forward to a good Gwyn Guy performance this year and a healthy show in District comps.
I hope to be able to maintain the standards of those before me and hand over a strong and competitve District to my VP Stan Mond next Jan.
All that remains is to wish you all a good season , for those still on the carpet , hope the end brings a few trophies and when we get back out on the grass , look forward to seeing you all.
As far as I'm concerned that age old saying is the wrong way round " Its not the taking part , its the Winning !!"
